Chalk pastel wasn't that difficult to use. I was able to outline everything easy but it seemed to spear and fade. Also, my fingerprints got all over it too so i just made them part of the art.
Colored pencil was clean and it was easier to use than the chalk pastel. I still liked the spearing look so i took a tissue and rubbed it over the colors. I liked using the colored pencils better than chalk pastel. Artists Reflect- On my "Man and Machine" project, i started off with a quick sketch of how my layout on the arms and background would be. I used a 9 x 12 sheet of paper for my sketch and then put the finished image on a 18 x 24 sheet. The tools i used were pencil, sharpies, vine charcoal, charcoal pencils, and a piece of tissue for the shading. Artists Take Risk- Since i was limited on time i took a risk to change the image up a little. i change the figure of the robotic arm to make it look bigger and i took out the shocks and wires. The back ground would take too long to make look like a chain link fence so i had to shade it instead. Sketch image Image in finishing proccess |
