Sound Artist Statement
My image for my sound project is a tire doing a spinout. The idea I’m trying to portray was for the tire to being kicking up dust and show that the tire is spinning excessively fast. My whole purpose is to place the sound in the viewer’s ear to hear how the tire sounds as it’s spinning.
How long should my artist statement be? I’m required to have around 3 paragraphs but I think that I should write as much as I can about the topic. I believe the longer I write and the more effort I put in, then my statement should be worth reading. My general guidelines should be simple because I’m basically describing my efforts and techniques I used to create my sound project.
In my art I focus on using charcoal and shading. The details aren’t as simple as they look. I’m trying to make everything look realistic with the shading and lighting but I don’t know how it’s going to work out .
